If I Could Write More (re-post)

Many times I wrote about the rain,
and how it brought the joy and pain.
I also wrote about the deep blue sea,
and how it was ruined by humanity.

Wish I could write more about nature,
so as the stream with water so pure,
and so the fowls flying in flocks,
and the mountains with trees and rocks.

But how could I write the unseen things-
if it only exists within my dreams?
How could I describe it so vividly-
when it was never in my memory?

I want to write about the human life,
of the society and the people’s strife.
Wish I could pen down the things I see,
and make known of the inequality.

Also, wish I could write about love,
that in everyone’s heart it will have.
But how could it becomes a reality-
when everyone is full of animosity?

If only, I have the courage to write,
of what I see whether it’s wrong or right,
of corrupted things and what the people suffer,
so it may be known to those who do not care.

GRANDILOQUENCE

A man of honor as they thought,
waving, standing in front of the crowd,
speaking extemporaneously with conceit,
capturing and leaving the throng in awe.

"Tomorrow is a new day coming,
the hope, the future of today,
home for the homeless". . .
so lofty but empty promises.

Passed on from generation to generation,
dynasty of moneyed people,
each promises of heaven and earth,
making toy of those who believe.

Here comes a face so fresh,
a picture of strength and innocence,
delivering a new pledge,
but then again, it's an empty speech.

Gambling

The game of chance
is an enticement
that human
could hardly resist.

Like a pleasurable thing
that gives satisfaction
to the human flesh.

Like a mistress
who seductively moves,
capturing the eyes
of her lover.

Like flowers and chocolates
that melt

a woman’s heart.

Like a delicious meal
laid on the table
and gluttons could not
withstand to taste.

Like a pretty woman
who gracefully walks
and men could not resist on looking.

Like a forbidden drug
that irresistibly invites
the addictive mind
of a habitual individual.

For as long as there is poverty,
and equality is vague,
separating bronze from silver.

For as long as promises
are never fulfilled,
people will always hope
and persistently will bet.
