Missing You on Valentine's Day

I think of you on this day;

the day of the hearts.

For it was in this time,

that we sealed our love.

And from that moment on,

we became entwined.

And from that moment on,

we promised not to part.

No day that passes by,

that I neglect to tell you.

How fortunate I am,

to have you by my side.

I cherish you, my dear,

not only on Valentine’s Day.

I hold you dear everyday,

for you fill my entirety.

But one day I wake up,

with my life so empty.

Comes the day that I feared,

seeing you walk off from me.

Missing you dear on this day,

when lovers converge with glee.

I miss you, not only at the moment,

but tomorrow, tomorrow, and each day.
