A Walk on the Bridge

One by one,
the lights flare-up,
displaying
its' different colors
as the twilight encompasses
the surroundings.
The water current changes;
it’s low tide.
Exposing the muddy water,
the unpleasant smell
of the river.
Sniffing the dust
and the smoke
of the speeding vehicles
passing by.
The night breeze blows,
not cold but humid.
Two lovers sit
along the riverbank;
perhaps they talk
about the blissful things,
of what life lies ahead,
and to live together,
‘til eternity.

CAUSALITY

Each day in our life,
Happiness maybe encountered,
Or we may take a joyful journey,
Into a world we longed to be,
Or in a place we yearned to see.

Life sometimes is so smooth,
And all were on the right perspective,
No event was unfavorable,
Neither taken actions that were deplorable,
And making all efforts to be sensible.

But then, there were some times,
Life is rough rather than bland,
And in our mind comes a question,
Or a fiendish thought may have grown,
Driven and sought for a rotten option.

But then again, we dare to forget not,
There is a law of cause and effect.
Whatever action we may have taken,
Good or bad matters that we have given,
From atop, we are being observed with keen.

Sa Diyos ay Kumapit

Panibagong umaga na naman,
Ilang araw na ba ang nagdaan,
Tila 'di na mabilang kung ilan,
Maging mga nakalipas na buwan.

Ilang pangyayari na ang sinariwa,
At pilit na gumigising sa diwa,
Sa pagdaloy ng mga alaala,
Pinipigil ang mga mata sa pagluha.

Pilit iwinawaksi ang lungkot,
Maging ang galit at poot,
Mga pangyayaring masalimuot,
Sa sarili ay pilit na nililimot.

Hanggang kailan iuugnay ang kahapon,
Sa dinaranas na kasawian ngayon,
Kung ang lahat ay nakakahon,
Paano ang sarili maiiahon.

Hanggang kailan pa magbibilang,
Ng mga araw, linggo, at buwan,
May pag-asa pa bang maaasahan,
May liwanag pa bang makakamtan.

Sa DIYOS lamang ay mangunyapit,
Umasa at humawak ng mahigpit,
Sa bawat pagsubok na sasapit,
Sa KANYA lamang ay lumapit.
