The Fury Inside

The raindrops are falling

but didn’t hear

the ticking sound

although the roof

is made of tin.

Sing like a child

recite the nursery rhyme

while keeping an eye

on the falling rain

dampen the barren soil.

the sound of your heartbeat

contending against the rain.
