I smell the scent of the country,
See my family with all smiles,
See their faces with glee,
But all are chimera in my mind.
The long journey is dreary.
The scenic view is hideous.
Every minute is akin to a day,
Toting up to the excitement I suffer.
There’s the endless road I see,
The roaring vehicle I hear,
People around me seems to be muted,
I believe they feel the same too.
I close my eyes with the keenness,
To open it at my place of disembarkation,
But only to awake in dismay,
For the destination is not yet imminent.
Again and again I close my eyes,
But everytime I open it, I'm still seated.
Again and again I would visualize
My family hugging me with all smiles.
Again and again I close my eyes,
But everytime I open it, I'm still seated.
Again and again I would visualize
My family hugging me with all smiles.
