CORY (Thank You)

The hero is leaving,
takes her journey to heaven,
will join with the Supreme Being,
but leaves the nation mourning.

Your memory will never be gone,
our gratitude for a job well done,
for the democracy that you've given,
for the freedom that we are enjoying.

The legacy you left behind,
forever will keep us bind.
Your love we'll treasure forever,
Your name we'll always remember.

Long live the icon of democracy,
you gave your life unselfishly,
you rest in peace, is what we pray for,
our only way of returning the favor.

NANAY (mother)

There are million words to explore,
But I couldn’t find one,
For words are not enough,
To express my gratitude,
Nor it could pay off for what you did.

Is it enough to say thank you, or
Once in a while think of you, or
Talk to you if I want to.
Well, I believe it’s not,
For I owe you my life.

The shortcomings and anguish I gave you,
Yet, you forgive all my misdeeds.
You sacrificed everything for me,
And give the things I need,
Your noble deeds can’t be repaid.

I already lost count of the times,
That I planned to tell you,
Of the feelings I have,
To say thank you and I love you,
Even those words are not enough though.

Now, time maybe is running out,
For me to embrace you always.
But never I will be ran out of time,
To tell the world how proud I am,
That you are my “Nanay”.

Step Up for a Cause

Lend a helping hand,

when someone cries for help.

Offer your shoulder to cry on,

when someone is in tears.

When you see a hungry child,

feed him in your hand.

When you do something good,

you contribute to the world.

There's nothing to lose,

when you try to be good.

There's nothing to gain either,

when you are a crook,

But a million curses

and despise,

and disgraceful imagery in the
memory of many.
