When She Passes by

I gaze behind the curtain
Draping at the windowpane
The rain is falling outside
And I see a woman standing at the roadside

As she moves, I watch her carefully
As she impatiently waits for a taxi
She waves at every PUV that pass
For half an hour one had stopped at last

Suddenly, I felt the loneliness
And to hold her was what I wished
But all I can do was to watched her
As she hops in and commanded the driver

The taxi moves from slow to fast
Until it was gone from my sight
Then I look again at the curtain
As it gently swayed by the wind

The rain had stopped falling
And so I went back to thinking
Dreaming that at this time tomorrow
She’ll pass again to ease my sorrow
